How the prank works: options, prices and terms
This page explains, in plain terms, what you are buying when you prank a friend with FAKE FISH. This is a real service with real prices. The "registry" your friend sees is a joke.
What it is
You enrol a friend. They receive an official-looking but completely fake "Notice of Unregistered Fighting Fish", followed by a short run of silly registry letters they can answer by multiple choice, and finally a reveal telling them it was a birthday joke from you. Along the way they may be pointed to our companion parody site, federalaquaknowledgeexchange.net, which is clearly marked as satire.
How to take part
- Enter your name, your friend's email and their fish's name (real or imagined).
- Tick the honest disclaimer.
- Choose how the prank runs: automatic or hands-on, how silly, and how long.
- Pay the Sender Dispatch Levy (plus any optional joke extras).

Payment terms
- One-off card payment through Stripe. No subscription, and nothing is saved for later.
- Prices are shown before you pay, in Australian dollars.
- Refunds: email fakefightingfish@gmail.com with your order number, or reply to your Stripe receipt.
- The "fees", "levies" and "fines" inside the joke letters are not real charges. Your friend is never billed by the joke.
Fair-play rules
- Only prank someone you know personally.
- Each address gets at most one notice every 30 days (three ever).
- Your friend is told it is a joke from you, can end it instantly at any time, and can opt out of all further email with one click.
